The public trail system that follows Wellington's canal banks and arterial roads — South Shore, Pierson, Lake Worth Road, Forest Hill, 120th Avenue South. Continuous, mostly unpaved, and the way a horse gets from a private barn to the show grounds without a trailer.

Hacking to the grounds

From Grand Prix Village, Palm Beach Point and the preserve farms, the bridle paths reach Wellington International without touching a public road. Time in the saddle from a South Shore farm is typically 10–25 minutes.

Canal-bank trails

Most of the Village network runs along drainage canals — flat, unpaved footing with water on one side. Expect maintenance vehicles, occasional cyclists and, on the arterial stretches, road traffic within a fence line.

The preserve loop

The Wellington Environmental Preserve at the south-west corner is the one purpose-built ride: a 3.6-mile equestrian loop around restored wetland, with a horse-trailer lot at the entrance.

From most of the Equestrian Preserve Area, yes. The bridle paths around Grand Prix Village, Palm Beach Point, Southfields and the South Shore corridor connect to Wellington International and Equestrian Village without a public-road crossing. From a South Shore farm the hack is typically 10–25 minutes; from the north-end communities it is a longer ride along the canal trails or a short trailer.

What surface are Wellington's riding trails?

Mostly unpaved canal-bank and road-shoulder trail — flat sand and grass footing with drainage water on one side. The preserve paths are maintained for hacking; the Village network is shared with walkers, runners and cyclists and runs inside a fence line along the arterials.

How much does trail access add to an equestrian property's value?
